I happened to be in the living room the other day near my Xbox collection and noticed that a few of the box arts looked like they were starting to get bleached out by the sun. Seeing that the 360's backwards compatibility is so wanting, (seems like every game I try on the 360 is a bust,) I decided to pack up the collection for storage. My collection of games is pretty good: 300+. Luckily, I had a cardboard box from a recent purchase that fit them all just perfectly. w00t.
For the majority of the last generation, I probably would have said that the Xbox was my favorite system. While the machine itself was big and ugly, I enjoyed a good number of its platform exclusive titles. Here's my list of the top ten(ish,) must have, (console) platform exclusive, last generation Xbox games:
-Otogi: Myth of Demons
-Otogi2: Immortal Warriors
-Enclave
-The Chronicles of Riddick
-AirForce Delta Storm
-Breakdown
-Deathrow
-MechAssault
-Ninja Gaiden
-Phantom Dust
-Halo
-Halo 2
So there it is... the end of an era. The games will be secreted away to one of the many locations holding the various portions of my gaming collection. My final working system, (I went through 3 of them,) will be packed up as well. With a collection of this size, it would be a shame not to be able to play the games again at some point in the future, so now I'm on the lookout for a few new old stock Xboxes for backup!
