EVO2k7.

Over the weekend I went and entered EVO2k7. I signed up for Super Street Fighter II Turbo, which is referred to as "the old man game" these days by these emo whippersnappers, apparently.

As expected, I got trounced. No biggie. I guess one's skills tend to drop off after not having played for ummm, I think close to a decade. Really though, the guys I played were pretty freakin' awesome, and good sports about it too, so all credit to them. Well, I don't think I got perfected, so there's something.

The whole experience was fairly curious in a time warp kind of way. The wife had use of the SUV that weekend and was off doing her thing, so I ended up catching a train to my parents place and picking up my old car for the day. There I was, new employee of Incredible Technologies, driving out from my parents in my '95 Camaro to go play Super Turbo. Odd flashback type moment to say the least.

Anyway, it was cool to meet the guys from the Shoryuken.com forums; I'll definitely enter next year.

Training begins NOW!!!

huh, last time i used one of these blog sites was to tell a guy that i saw his link in a japanese punk/ska music video, but that's neither here or there, i was just letting you know that i just finished your thread on shoryuken (i'm sure you get that alot) and i just can't even describe how much empathy i feel for the situation you went through. my life ambition (well the main one, i have many) is to have my own video game company that specializes mainly in 2D fighting games. and i have had so many ideas on orignal games, titles, game plays, characters, the works. i once even started it but the concept artist and i didn't see eye to eye in unrelated measures and stoped working together even though we agreed on our stories. i'll cut this comment now just saying that i'd love talking ideas with you or just chatting it up, you seem like a pretty cool guy and i can relate to you.
